ITS World Congress, Vienna, Austria, 22 October 2012 - Traficon is announcing an expanded portfolio of Automatic Incident Detection (AID) products at this year’s ITS World Congress in Vienna. A first innovation is VIP-TX, an extension of Traficon’s field-proven VIP-T board with video encoding and streaming capabilities. A second innovation is an integrated AID camera, including powerful video encoding, streaming and Traficon algorithms, called Trafibot.
“With the expansion of its AID portfolio, Traficon is again showing that the company is at the forefront of automatic incident detection technology,” comments Stefaan Pinck, International Sales Manager at Traficon. “Both new products fit into a wider trend of decentralization, where intelligence is put on the edge of the network. Customers who choose for this configuration can now benefit from field-proven Traficon technology in a more integrated package.”
AID intelligence on the edge
The new VIP-TX solution extends the functionality of Traficon’s field-proven VIP-T incident detection board for analog cameras with powerful video encoding/streaming. VIP-TX can stream H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and MJPEG simultaneously.
Following this demand of decentralization even more, Traficon also launches Trafibot, an all-in-one AID camera that combines high-performance camera optics and powerful video encoding/streaming with field-proven incident detection algorithms from Traficon.
